The POMMIE NIGHT OUT show runs for two hours, and is very unique. It features lots of the old favourite sing-a-long songs, British humour, audience participation and costume changes. Since the show started touring in 2001, it has travelled over 1000,000 kms, visiting places all over Australia, New Zealand, UK and Malaysia. and always receives marvellous reviews. The show also recently returned from its third successful tour of New Zealand, and is already booked for return appearances in 2013.
The POMMIE NIGHT OUT SHOW was recently filmed by a television crew for a new programme to be screened in 2013, and also won the award for “BEST GOLD COAST ENTERTAINMENT SHOW”.
Wherever the show has appeared, it has been re-booked, and the feedback from clients, bookers and audiences alike has been overwhelming. There is no other show like this! Many of the audiences spend their time with hankies in their hands, to wipe away their tears – from the laughter, and the memories.
The show features lots of British humour and sing-a-long songs such as “When you’re smiling”, Hello who’s your lady friend?” “If you were the only girl in the world” and “You are my sunshine”, and will bring back memories for all of the audience. As the audience arrives, they are greeted by our LONDON BOBBY, our ARMY GIRL, and NURSEY – watch where she puts her BIG thermometer!!!
THE PEARLY KING and QUEEN, sing old London favourites, DAD’S ARMY sing war songs, FLANAGAN and ALLEN, AL JOLSON and many other characters make appearances throughout the show, and a great time is assured. The show is a great “fun” show. It is fully professional and choreographed, with wonderful costumes.
Comedy is provided by “BUBBLE”, who is already making a name for herself in the comedy world, although she has been in Australia only a short time. She is already being hailed as one of Australia’s foremost female stand-up comedians. Standing at just 4ft 8ins, what “BUBBLE” lacks in height, she more than makes up for with her bubbling personality and wicked sense of humour. BUBBLE has appeared all over the world, and even worked with the legendary BENNY HILL.
She has just been voted “BEST GOLD COAST ENTERTAINER”.
DAVID LEE-JAY has been in entertainment for many years, and has worked with many of the top British groups including The Fortunes and The Applejacks. He has worked all over the world, including most of Europe, Scandinavia and the Caribbean and appeared in many pantomimes in England.
Some venues offer this as a dinner and show, and serve a traditional “pommie” meal – ie. fish and chips, bangers and mash, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, – others just offer the show. It is suitable as a matinee or for an evening performance.
The show is ideal for corporate functions, theatres and special events, as well as club nights, festivals, theme nights and Morning Melodies.
